Digital addiction is not yet recognized by the DSM-5 as a diagnosable disorder. Yet, most would self report that their use of screens is excessive to the point it stunts their productivity in every day life. It takes a will of steel at times to tear away from an infinite amount of information and entertainment, which is filtered and tooled for you by an algorithm so sophisticated even its creators aren't sure anymore how it operates.
How can we represent the growth out of control digital addiction can feel like, beyond words? I've done my best to encapsulate that feeling of bring endlessly surrounded by information, with no way out, here.
